A Bevy of Beauties Showcasing Statement Pants

Today, I’m joining a bevy of beauties showcasing statement pants. It’s our quarterly fashion link-up.

Iris Setlakwe Wrap blouse

You may recall this stylish group of ladies called the Magnificent 8. Earlier this year in January, the agreed-upon theme, “Out of the Box” styling, I chose to wear a schaket as a coat during January.

On And Off The Runway Oversized White Wide-Leg Pants

This time, I shopped my closet for these flowy wide-leg statement pants by On and Off the Runway Boutique.

Over 60 Style - Classic Styling with Black White and Red

Because wide-leg pants are so flattering for my body type, I’ve worn this type of pants for years, except back then, the name you may remember palazzo pants.

Showcasing Statement Pants

No skinny jeans for me. Generally, I don’t follow trends, but I like to update my closet with items that work well for my pear shape body type.

Magnificent 8 Blogger LinkUpHere are five reasons to wear wide-leg pants even if you aren’t curvy on the bottom:

1.  Pivotal statement piece to update your wardrobe
2. Incredibly flattering silhouette for all body types, especially when high-waisted
3.  Accentuates the waistline
4.  Polished and elegant look, when monochromatic
5.  Creates nice dimension for overall silhouette (helps vertically challenged gals like me to look taller)

The Iris Setlakwe wrap top balances the wide-leg statement pants to keep the outfit from not looking too voluminous on me.

Now the Magnificent 8 Bloggers:

Every quarter, we choose a theme, and each creates an outfit that suits our tastes and fashion choices. We post them on the last Wednesday of every third month. So be sure to go check out everyone’s posts for lots of style inspiration at any age!
