By now, you know, I love the challenge of blogger collaborations. The agreed-upon theme always takes me out of my comfort zone and makes me rethink fashion as I see it. As well as discover more like-minded midlife bloggers. My title for the group post, if Disney’s Iconic Mascot Mickey Mouse Is Perfect for Gucci, He’s Fabulous As My Unlikely Fashion Accessory.
Back in November, I happily agreed to participate with interior bloggers, Cindy Rough Luxe Lifestyle and Mary Ann Classic Casual Home, for their monthly group style post. The January Collected Style fashion theme, adding vintage accessories or combining an unlikely item.
I choose the questionable fashion item. Why? 2020 is the Chinese Year of the Rat. Instead of the rat, I selected another rodent, the iconic Disney Mickey Mouse, just like Gucci’s, Alessandro Michele. Remember last year; the designer featured the Disney mascot as head bags in celebration of the animated character’s 90th birthday?
My Mickey Mouse head bag is my thirty-one-year-old son’s lunch box from elementary school that I kept all these years. I see the souvenir lunch box is available on eBay for upwards of $50.00 The Gucci Mickey Mouse head bag costs $4500.
