With many fashion publications falling by the wayside, InStyle magazine is celebrating 25 years, congratulations. And guess what? I get to commemorate too. Why? According to InStyle Magazine, I’m no shrinking violet, find me in the Real Style section on page 72.
This celebrity-inspired section allows readers the opportunity to test drive the trends from the Instyle pages. My floral frock inspiration from Alexa Chung’s Gucci and Judy Greer Reema Acra outfits.
I appreciate the term used to describe my floral dress, not a shrinking violet. As a woman of a certain age, I don’t usually see fashion magazines highlighting women as vivacious and vibrant. The celebrities yes but the everyday girl, no.
