The summer of 2013 unofficially came to end last Labor Day weekend. It was not that long ago I did a blog post on the beginning of summer. I can’t believe summer is over, you? Without even looking at the calendar, the local annual attractions remind me that’s it’s September. Locally one can celebrate an annual host of events in Central Pennsylvania that include Harrisburg’s Labor Day Weekend River Festival – Kipona, Lancaster’s Long’s Park 35th Annual Art & Craft Festival and the start of many local fairs including the largest in the state,The Bloomsburg Fair.
Collectively, children are back in school, acorns are on the ground, the seasonal ragweed pollen started August 15th, the very familiar ‘are you ready for some football commercials?’ playing non-stop on the television.
